Sadly.....

We are saddened to report that there will not be a Crop for the Cure event this year.  We have been overwhelmed with all of the support in the past and cannot thank everyone who has been involved enough!!

I guess sometimes life takes us in other directions and hosting this day is not in the cards for our family this year.  At this point, we are not sure what the future holds beyond 2013.

Again, we say thank you to all of the support we have received through the years!  We have been blessed to have had such successful events for the past several years.

Thank you for helping us to raise funds and awareness in the fight against breast cancer!!

THANK YOU!!!!

Crop for the Cure is done for another year and I am blown away yet again!!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone who supports our day!!  We had so many fabulous goodies to give away today because this amazing scrappy community is generous beyond belief!!  WOW!!  I don't know how to say thank you enough!  Each year when I send the emails asking for donations I never know what kind of response I will get and every year I am stunned!!  This is a seriously generous crafty community!!!

I also have to thank our participants for coming and sharing our day with us!  It wouldn't be much of an event if no one showed up to share it!  There were people there today who have been with us from the beginning (six years ago) and there were others who were with us for the first time!  It is amazing to me!!  Thank you to each and every one of you!!  It means a lot that you come and enjoy the day!!

Of course, I have to thank our fantastic vendors......

Hannah from Scrapping Turtle was there and I am so appreciative of that!!  Six years ago when we were planning our first CFTC was when I discovered the Turtle and met Hannah and the rest of the awesome ladies at the store.  I am incredibly blessed to count these amazing women as my friends!!!  Thank you Hannah for being there to support our day - you're the best and I love ya!!!

We also had two fantastic Stampin' Up demonstrators working together to bring us fabulous fun today!  Denise Donald and Ria Jenkins are two amazing, diva-licious ladies!!  Incredibly sweet and generous and just awesome!!  Thank you ladies for your wonderful support!  I am lucky to call you both friends!!  I've got nothing but love for both of you!!

This day is a personal one for myself, my sisters and our Momma!  We started this day six years ago as a way to raise funds for our Run for the Cure team (Nan's Boobsters).  At the heart of things for us is our Nanny!  She was an incredible woman and this crappy evil disease is what started the battle that ended up taking her from us.  For that reason, we will continue to do what we can to fight against cancer.  Cancer Sucks and if we work together we can make sure it doesn't win!!  Thank you so much to everyone who joins us year after year to help us in our fight!  We cannot say it enough!!

THANK YOU!!!!

Change is Good.

They say change is good and we, your CFTC planners, happen to agree! Even though this is our sixth year hosting this event, we are still looking for ways to grow, change and improve our day!

Raffles - We are hosting raffles again this year. Tickets will again be $2 each or 3 for $5. The change though is that we are going to offer you more choice and control over your tickets. Instead of all tickets going into one big tub, we are going to let you choose which prize you want a shot at winning!! This was suggested by a few people last year and we think it is a great idea!!

Food - We have been in a bit of a rut as far as food is concerned and we are looking forward to some changes. We are limited in our meals without an on-site kitchen so we have to stick with crock pot type dishes. We have come up with two different meal ideas though and would love your input on which one you would prefer.

Dinner Meal 1
Homemade Soup
Spinach Salad
Fresh buns or bread
Dinner Meal 2
Sloppy Joes
Scalloped Potatoes
Spinach Salad

Fight Like a Girl - We have hooked up with Signify Pink and are raising funds through orders of Fight Like a Girl gear. Crop for the Cure will receive 35% of all orders!! As an added incentive we are offering raffle tickets to those who show up at CFTC with their Fight Like a Girl gear on!!
(Number of raffle tickets earned is based upon which items are purchased.)

Please remember that all funds raised through our day are done so to benefit our Run For The Cure team (Nan's Boobsters) and ultimately Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

I think that about covers things!! One of the things we have not changed is the fact that we are looking forward to a fun and fabulous day raising money for a very important cause! As always, we thank you for joining us in this endeavour!!
We are always open to any feedback or suggestions you may have so please feel free to send them to me!!

Thanks so much!!

There are still tickets available so purchase yours today to avoid missing out!!!
We cannot wait to spend the day with everyone!!
